Media Release - April 19, 2024   Motor Vehicle Accident A 20-year-old Port Hope male was air lifted to a Toronto trauma centre after an accident that took place on Ward St. in Port Hope yesterday afternoon. Police were dispatched to attend a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle, located at Talbot St and Ward St. on April 18, 2024.  Upon arrival, officers assessed the scene as paramedics were attending to the male victim. An off-road dirt bike was located underneath the driver’s side of the vehicle. The vehicle had front drivers side damage. OPP Collision Reconstruction were called to assist.

Media Release - April 8, 2024     Assault A 50-year-old Port Hope male was arrested and charged after punching his daughter in the head. Police were called to a Walton Street address on March 31, 2024, for reports of a family dispute in progress.  Police arrived on scene and were met outside by the complainant, who was a friend of the daughters. It was learned that the daughter had broken a plate after becoming frustrated and as a result, her father punched her in the head twice. The daughter received medical attention at Northumberland Hills Hospital. The accused was arrested and charged with
